(BG was big around York/Lancaster County, PA as many of the great bands were centered 30-40 miles to the south around Baltimore/D.C. Best choice is Martin D-28, Martin HD-28,, Martin HD28V. I first really heard BG around 71-72 on a friends Will the Circle Be Unbroken album, although as a child, in my grandmother's church in the mountains of PA, they sang and played music on Sunday's (she played piano) that sounded very much like the Old Timey music side of BG. Roughly, 50 miles from VA 40 miles from TN 20 miles from SC 75 miles from WV 80 miles from KY. (I'm now sittin' here in the mountains 15 miles below Asheville, NC. ![]()
